IJC's Mission
IJC’s mission is to bring people together across the shared values of human dignity, equality, and justice to build collective power to produce structural change. Our goal is to make Springfield, our state, and the world a place where all people are valued and are thriving regardless of their legal status. We seek to end migrant detention and other unjust and oppressive structures that criminalize human beings and pit us against each other. We strive to create a community of diversity, joy, and mutual aid.
IJC's Vision
IJC's Vision is a world where everyone is welcome, and free to be themselves, wherever they are or go, where our resources are spent for the betterment of the welfare of the people, not on people's punishment, detention or criminalization.
